Baby #2 Update

I went to the Dr. this morning. He said my cervix has done a lot of the work already. There are never any guarantees but it really should be any time now. I haven't been feeling good since last night but no consistent contractions yet. The Dr. also thinks this delivery will be faster than Coop's... again no guarantees but based on my exam he said when I start having regular contractions I should head to the hospital. So we're ready and waiting. I am just trying to rest as much as I can! She still has some time to be born on her Grandpa Ron's birthday which is today!

Flu Shot

Last Frid. I took Cooper to get his Flu shot. We walked to the Doctor's office. It is literally that close to our house. He was so tough for his shot, he didn't even cry at all. The nurse gave him an Elmo sticker and blue sucker. He ate that sucker till his lips were blue. He carried it around outside and at one point Dave had to wash it off because he had stuck it on the cat and it was covered in cat hair! It was really a treat for him.

Halloween

So Coop dressed up as Spider Man on Sat. for Halloween. His little hat was too big and he didn't like wearing it so it didn't stay on too long. Cousin Jet was a little cow and our other friends that went Trick or Treating with us dressed their kids up as a Monkey and a Princess (her shoes even lit up). This is the 1st year since I've lived in this neighborhood that we have gone out Trick or Treating. There weren't a lot of kids and houses handing out candy but it was just enough for Coop to get the experience. Luckily he got a sucker at the very 1st house. He was set after that. He got the hang of it, walking to the door, knocking, grabbing a piece of candy, and then signing Thank You. He'd walk back, hop in the stroller and on to the next house. It was a fun evening and we were even home in time to pass out candy from our door.

Baby #2 Update

I had another routine Dr. appointment today. All is still looking good. He will "check" me next week. Dialation is not necessarily an indication that I am going to go into labor soon so he likes to wait til 39 weeks. You can be dialated for a week or 2, or not at all and go into labor that night. I feel like his exam is what put me into labor with Cooper, but it could have just been coincidence? So until then we just continue to enjoy our time with just Coop and know that only God knows Samantha's birth day! I am feeling good and just trying to rest as much as I can. We'll keep you all updated.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Last Monday we took Coop to the Pumpkin Patch with Grandma and Papa. It started raining just as we got ready to go.... but rain or shine we went. It actually ended up being nice because we were the only ones there. Unfortunately Coop couldn't ride any of the carnival rides because they were shut down due to the rain. After he picked out his pumpkin (ok we picked it out for him) dad tried to win him a prize at the carnival games. No luck at winning, but we got some fun pictures and our pumpkin for the season!

Baby #2 Update

I went to the Dr. yesterday. I am 37 weeks, so Sam is considered full term and can come at any time now. I'm not having any consistent contractions, or any signs that she'll be here early. Yesterday I finished purchasing the decor items I needed for her room and I'm feeling like it's just about ready. I am going to paint a saying above her crib and Dave has some things to hang, but other than that it's just about all together. Once it's finished I'll take pics and post them.

The Big Fresno Fair

That's right as tradition stands we make our way to the Big Fresno Fair every year. This year it was just the 3 of us. We got our fair cuisine and walked through the exhibits. We checked out all the animals and Cooper got to see a Moo Cow close up. I don't like midway, so Dave took Cooper through it and he loved all the lights and rides. Coop's souvenier this year was a light up bubble gun. He loves bubbles, and says it over and over again when he sees them. At the end of the night we took our annual photo booth pics and Cooper just wanted to shoot bubbles! He was so sad when we had to put the bubble gun away once we got to the car. It was so sad and so cute at the same time. We can't wait for little Sam to be part of the tradition next year.
